Freestanding Leaflet Display Racks Now Available as Part of the Waiting Room Information Service2013-04-16

IDS UK’s free service to GP surgeries, Waiting Room Information Services (WIS) now has a limited supply of freestanding racks available.

Traditionally the WIS service has provided GP surgeries with a wall mounted leaflet display rack, which the IDS field team visit 4 times a year to refill with healthcare leaflets.  This free of charge service has in recent years seen a demand for freestanding racks.

New Beginning For Healthcare Communications2013-03-28

Easter is the holiest time in the Christian calendar and is celebrated the world over.  For many it represents a time of hope and new beginnings.      Even to those without religious beliefs the prospect of bank holidays and chocolate eggs encourages  happiness.

At IDS UK we hope that the thought of new beginnings prompts companies with a healthcare message to look into how they can improve their communications.  We know that information sent to GP surgeries for patients, or HCPs is often lost amongst the large amounts of unsolicited mail.  There is no control on how and when material is displayed to the appropriate audience.

Thousands of Doctors' waiting rooms have received new health information as part of IDS UK’s Waiting Room Information Service.

Surgeries signed up to IDS UK’s Waiting Room Information Service receive visits four times a year to replenish their wall mounted leaflet display rack and accompanying poster frames.  The first visit of 2013 sees the arrival of new leaflet titles together with further supplies of successful existing health campaigns.

The Department of Health uses IDS UK to Deliver Information Directly to GPs2012-09-04

During the month of September the IDS UK field team will deliver information summarising The Department of Health’s dementia campaign to GP’s across England. 

14,000+ letters will be used to coordinate GP activity with the ‘Dementia - Signs and Symptoms” campaign taking place between September and December 2012.  The letter signposts guidance for primary care and provides advice on patient support.

Maintaining Leaflet Displays in the Waiting Room

IDS UK display healthcare leaflets prominently within GP surgery waiting rooms.   We position leaflets so that they attract attention and are picked up.  But how does IDS UK maintain displays in the hectic waiting room environment?

Firstly GP surgeries want our service.  This means that materials stays in place where they should, and when they should.  We only visit surgeries that have requested our service, and we always let them know when we have been.

Answer Your Cat's Questions Day and Other Important Dates

January may seem a little dull.  The excitement of Christmas is over, and summer seems like a very long way away.  Fear not, January is actually full of many exciting dates.

We have already celebrated Clean Off Your Desk and National Bubble Bath Day (8th).  Next week has Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day (22nd), National Pie Day (23rd), Compliment Day (23rd) and Fun At Work Day all to look forward to.
